There’s something for everyone at Chicwish! From feisty minis to colorful maxis to tailored capris. 🌸☀️
This summer, get ready for layers of gossamer and tulle in pastel shades and fitted silhouettes in candy colored hues. The outfit above is from Chicwish, a longtime favorite store of mine. Another of my most-visited, one-stop shops this season is Red Dress Boutique. In addition to their fabulous in house label, they also carry exclusive brands like BB Dakota and Judith March. Besides the awesome garment selection, get ready to shop their summer sandals, hats, bags, and jewelry. A line shapes are hot for spring, as are tops and dresses with South American embroidery, rompers and wide-legged jumpsuits that hit above the ankle.
Swimsuit Preview 2019 is loaded with brilliant colors, ruffles, fringe, beads and plenty of timeless styles!
It’s that time of year again, time to get ready for the Coachella Music Festival! Just as exciting are all of the super cool festival fashions. Whether you’re attending or not, you can take advantage of the awesome trend and incorporate these wardrobe components into your spring break style and summer looks.
1.) Crocheted Pieces- Shawls, scarfs, tunics, bags, beanies and skirts are all festival fresh. It’s important to remember to only wear one piece at a time, you don’t want to end up looking like you cleaned out grandma’s closet.
2.) Layered Necklaces- Coins, horns, stars and trinkets, whether silver or gold are red hot. Very chic also at the moment is anything rose gold. Be on the lookout for beaded necklaces, beach glass, shells and braided cord pieces as well.
3.) Acid wash denim- No you read that right, I said acid wash denim, especially cutoffs and overalls. It’s difficult for me to even write the terminology without hearing the Pet Shop Boys playing in my head.
4.) Tie Dye and Other Painted Fabrics- This trend adds the arthouse-hippie feel and will always be a winner at festival. The whole look conjures up Jim Morrison, John Lennon, and Strawberry Fields Forever.
5.) Layered Peasant Dresses- Besides being so chic, this style dress is just so comfortable, look for the multicolor cotton and gossamer pieces. The whole look is whimsical, breezy and loose. Go ahead and go on back for a second corn dog and maybe a third, it won’t show in a peasant dress.
6.) Cowboy Boots- I love cowboy boots when worn with everything listed above and everything else in my closet too. Make sure they are on the flatter side or you’ll find yourself sinking in the Coachella desert sand.
This fall, maroon, mustard and rust can’t be missed. Invest in a few fun pieces and blend them in with your existing wardrobe. These pants are super comfy and only 15.00! In early fall, they look on trend the way I’ve worn them here or in winter rock them with a black oversized sweater. There are so many options available to the style conscious diva this month— a mustard mini with over-the-knee boots, or a maroon trench over a basic black shift. Feel free to express yourself in cooler weather by layering the season’s hottest hues.
