This week brought a few unexpected surprises. For one, on the morning of the Woodlands Country Club shoot, we all awoke to ice and snow. Not even sure if the booking would happen, I started calling and texting the photographer, client, stylist and the hair and makeup lady. The client said she wouldn’t come but to go ahead since everyone else was still planning on being there. Another surprise was the amazing backdrop the snow provided. I was so happy that we decided to shoot. Lastly, it was an unexpected bonus that the Woodlands Country Club said they would love to use the images on their official website and social media.
Metallic Boots are a Kick
My most favorite boot of the entire season has been an entirely unexpected one. The rose gold metallic otk boot is truly designed to thrill. When I first tried this on, I was sure it would look ridiculous, but the more I looked at it, the more I loved how it looked on. It’s just as incredible with a sparkly mini as it is with jeans. It’s not for everyone of course, but before you rule it out like I almost did, give it a try! I bet you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
Making Ripped Jeans Glam
When the ripped denim fad exploded last summer, I was one of the people cringing. How in the world would I make this hippie chic trend work for me? It’s possible! Just pair your favorite ripped jeans with a sparkly tee, a neutral heel and a textured jacket- add in a cool scarf and bam! You have hippie glam that’s appropriate for any age.
Cropped Tops in the Snow
What could be more exciting than featuring animal print in front of frozen tundra?! Ok, it wasn’t actually frozen tundra, it was snow tipped landscaping in the Country Club parking lot, but you get the idea. These leopard print pants fit amazing! From H&M, they were comfortable and sexy! Luckily, the stylist had this great textured fur chubby, also from H&M, that made the sequined cropped top seem appropriate in thirty degrees.
